This double wide four stack mahogany barrister bookcase cabinet is attributed to The Globe Wernicke Co. circa the 1920s. This mission barrister case is a rare double wide configuration with a slim depth of 11". The cabinet is modular, composed of four double glass front cases with a separate top and base, that easily fit into each other with an interlocking system. The doors open using the original square wooden knobs by pulling up and sliding back using a patented lift and recess closure mechanism. Another unique feature of this barrister case is the decorative satinwood inlay that showcases it's exceptional craftsmanship and really makes this case a standout among others.
The top two cases meaure 10.5" ht, the third is 12.5" ht and the bottom case is 15.5" ht.
Sturdy functioning condition. This barrister case has been refinished but does show some light scratches.
