An exceptional and rare icon of Space Age design, this vibrant orange fiberglass side chair was designed in 1969 by acclaimed Danish designer Nanna Ditzel for Domus Danica (Odense Maskinsnedkeri). Embodying the experimental spirit of the late 1960s, the chair is a sculptural form with a hollowed cut-out cylindrical base that transitions into a curved, crescent-shaped backrest. Due to the high cost of production and the onset of the 1973 oil crisis, very few of these pieces were ever manufactured, making this a true collector's item. Exhibiting authentic age-appropriate character, the brilliant glossy color and structural integrity are still extremely strong.
Good overall condition with some marks on the base.
