This mid-century modern compass chair is a wonderful combination of materials that exudes charm from every angle. The chair's wrought iron frame with compass silhouette connects to a birch bentwood backrest that comfortably hugs your back. The seat is newly upholstered in a contrasting jazzy black, white and beige plaid. A few mid-century designers worked in this combination of materials, most notably Paul McCobb and Clifford Pascoe. Although unattributed, this sculpturally minimal chair exhibits a balance and sophistication associated with an elevated eye for design.
Refinished and newly upholstered.
