This Danish Modern, solid teak dry bar cabinet was designed by Peter Hvidt and Orla Mølgaard-Nielsen for Søborg Møbelfabrik circa 1956. It was then imported to the United States from Denmark by John Stuart Inc. for retail. The John Stuart mark is still intact. The cabinet has five drawers and one drop-front that opens to reveal interior storage for glasses and bottles. The cabinet features distinctive finger joinery along the top sides and signature organic recessed handles. This piece works well for many purposes such as a small sideboard or low secretary cabinet.
