This impressive modernist executive desk, model number PE 400, designed by Paul Evans circa 1975, showcases the brilliant burl wood patchwork design of the designers last series Cityscape. The desk features a high sheen laminate finish on the patchwork atop a gunmetal steel base with drawers on either side edged in black laminate. The Cityscape series created a dialogue between exterior and interior structures. Paul Evans is widely considered to be one of the greatest studio furniture makers of the 20th century and his work a catalyst for the art furniture movement.

Overall good presentable condition. Some loss of veneer as shown to edges, steel veneer is lifted in a few places.
