This Mid-Century Modern folding walnut and glass campaign tray table was created by two designers Stewart MacDougall and Kipp Stewart for the Drexel Furniture Company during the late 1950s. MacDougall and Stewart designed this model number 881-401 table for the Drexel furniture line Declaration. It features a folding x-hinge slat walnut base with a walnut removable tray top, that includes a removable glass top to protect the tray from stains and scratching. In addition to its versatility, the table is beautifully made exhibiting fine details such as the carved handles on the tray top and carved finials on both sides of the base.
This table has been refinished. The glass is in good condition.
