This Mid-Century Modern, mahogany and brass, extension dining table was designed by Paul McCobb for Calvin Furniture’s elite "Irwin Collection". The table features a rich, ebonized mahogany tabletop and legs offset by a sculptural, solid brass X- stretcher. The tapered, slender legs are punctuated by delicate brass cuffs, an iconic hallmark of McCobb's structural vocabulary. It includes two 12" extension leaves, adapting smoothly from an intimate everyday setting to a generous 7 ft configuration for larger parties. Renowned for its sleek profile, architectural elegance, and throughtful integration of materials, this table stands as a hallmark of premium American mid-century design.
The table has been refinished. The brass is in good condition.
