This iconic George Nelson for Herman Miller Gentlemans chest was designed in the mid 1940s and features a striking burnt orange laquer finish on the front paired with dark walnut surround and black lacquered legs. The design follows the classic Basic Cabinet Series proportions: clean lines, sturdy construction, and timeless Mid Century Modern styling. On the left is a single full-height door with three adjustable shelves inside and on the right are 5 drawers. The fronts open with ergonomic aluminum M pulls shaped for ease of use, a signature of the Basic Cabinet series.
