This rare mid-century modern coffee table is designed by the artist Richard Almond Blow circa the 1950's. The table features a stunning, earthen tone book matched quartz top that rests within a mnimal bronze frame with angular legs ansd sculptural details. The table is marked Made In Italy with Blow's Montici "M" studio mark.
Richard Allmand Blow (1904–1983) was an American born artist born in La Salle, IL who revived Italy's pietra dura mosaic tradition by blending Cubism, Surrealism, and Modernist design. He lived and worked in Florence, producing inlaid stone works that echoed Medici-era artistry with modern aesthetics.
