American designer Edward Wormley (1907-1995) gained success as a furniture designer with the collections he designed for the Dunbar Furniture Manufacturing Corp. in Berne, Indiana. This armchair designed for Drexel, was the first he designed for a furniture company other than Dunbar and was part of the Precedent Collection.
