This square walnut and ash coffee table is model no. 900-17 designed by Andre Bus for Lane Furniture's "Acclaim" line in the 1950s. The tables's top features Bus's iconic dovetail inlay trim paired with solid wood legs and stretchers. From the original advertisement: “Lane's iconic "Acclaim" collection, by Dutch designer Andre Bus, was designed to appeal to Americans who loved modern Scandinavian design and those who preferred a more classic look." His work for Lane is considered archetypal American mid-century design.
