This brutalist Mid-Century Modern sculpture in the style of the Cubist sculptor Jacques Lipchitz stands at 19.5" tall. The solid sculpture is made of gypsum with a painted copper exterior that has a mottled brutalist texture that adds to it's intensity. The blocky figure kneels on one knee and uses the second leg for support. One arm is extended to create a resting spot for the head. The sculpture is titled "Repose" which is etched into the base. There are no marks to identify the artist but this scultpure is nonetheless impressive.
