This is a highly unique pair of Mid-Century Modern bentwood armchairs is in the style of Don Petit for Knoll or Thonet. The chairs feature curvaceous beech bentwood frames in a continuous outline form that flows from tapered legs into arched armrestsis. Inserts of darker wood on the armrests create a wonderful contrast in wood tones. The seats and backs are newly upholstered in an outstanding multi-color, flame-like basket weave chenille that is soft and luxurious. Although unidentified, these mid-century chairs are masterfully crafted scuptural forms that are interesting from every angle.
Very good overall condition. Refinished and newly upholstered.
