This iconic Danish Modern set of six teak dining chairs was designed by Erik Buch for O.D. Møbler circa 1956. The set consists of four model no. 49 side chairs and two model no. 50 captain / armchairs. The sculptural teak frames feature 'floating' seats, giving the chair a light appearance. The seats and backrests are gently curved, promoting an ergonomic and supportive seating position. The rich honey-tone of the teak pairs nicely with the marigold textured raw cotton linen upholstery. The O.D. maker's mark remains intact. The captain armchairs measure 23.5" wide with an arm height of 26"
Erik Buch was a widely popular Danish designer during the mid-twentieth century for his beautifully crafted and stunning designs.
Upholstery and frames are in very good original condition.
