This set of twelve Scandinavian Modern dining chairs was designed and produced by the notable Swedish furniture manufacturer Svegards Markaryd circa the late 1960s. The chairs feature rosewood frames with tall contoured ladder-backs with horizontal rungs that have a graceful bow. The seats are newly upholstered in a denim hued blue chenille. The chairs retain the original maker's mark printed on the underside of the seat. These handsome Swedish Modern dining chairs are a perfect example of refined design coupled with quality materials consistent with the Scandinavian Design movement.
