This set of two Mid-Century Modern, high-back lounge chairs with a matching ottoman is American made circa the 1960s. The chairs and ottoman have been attributed to architect-turned-furniture-designer Adrian Pearsall for Craft Associates, and are certainly in the designer's distinct style, but we do not beleive they are Pearsall. They are however, exceptionally stylish and beautifully crafted pieces. The fully upholstered chairs are generous and enveloping featuring high tapered backs with rolled head rests punctuated by their minimal yet sculptural walnut bases and support bar behind the headrests. The set is newly upholstered in a soft golden tweed blend that compliments the walnut accents. The angled and tapered matching ottoman follows the same angular lines that create stunning profiles from every angle. This lounge set offers a sophisticated balance of formal posture and deep-seated lounge comfort.
The set is refinished and newy upholstered.
