This Scandinavian Modern, rosewood, extendable drop leaf bar cart or serving trolley was created by the Swedish architect and furniture maker Yngve Ekström. This model, known as the "Thea Trolley", was designed in 1954. The rosewood Thea Trolley features a two tier design with a white laminate inset for mixing drinks on the top shelf and a lower shelf for storage. The trolley cart has softly curved edges, sculpted handles, and original brass casters for smooth mobility. The cart extends easily from 28" to to 39" by sliding the drop leaf over. With clean lines and a practical versatile design, this cart reflects both mid-century functionality and Scandinavian refinement—ideal as a bar cart, side table, or serving station.
This cart has been refinished. The laminate is in good condition.
